Thomas Tomczyk (born August 9, 1969 in Łódź, Poland), journalist, managing editor and founder of Bay Islands Voice, an English language magazine based on Roatan Island, Honduras. BIV is a member of Inter American Press Association, Reporters Sans Frontieres Reporters Without Borders, and Committee to Protect Journalists.
Education: Bachelor of Architecture (University of Arkansas), MA in photojournalism (University of Missouri).
Awards: 2000 Edom Photojournalism Award, University of Missouri; 2000 American Institute of Polish Culture Journalism Scholarship, Miami, Florida; 2000 Kosciuszko Foundation Journalism Scholarship, New York, New York; 1993 Larry Obsitnik Photojournalism Award, University of Arkansas, Arkansas.
